What does Flipdish do well?
Several things, and one of them we will happily copy. Flipdish publishes its prices with the caveats attached, per site and ex VAT, which is rare in restaurant software and worth respecting. It is Irish-built, it has been trading across Ireland and the UK for years, and the bundle is wide: till, ordering, CRM, marketing and payroll from one supplier on one invoice. If what you want is a single established vendor covering all of that, including payroll, and a company with real years behind it, that is a genuinely good proposition and price alone should not talk you out of it.
What do Flipdish and Eclyde cost?
Both platforms publish real numbers, so you can do this on your own volume rather than take anybody's word for it. As of August 2026 the figures look like this.

What is actually in each bundle?
This is where raw price stops settling it, because the two bundles are not the same shape. Read the list below and then work out which of these you would otherwise be buying separately, because that is the only comparison that means anything.

Can you run your own drivers on either?
Flipdish works with delivery partners. Eclyde runs your own fleet directly: zones drawn street by street, batching two drops onto one run, live tracking so the customer stops ringing the restaurant. That is a real difference, and here is the honest qualifier. If you do not have your own drivers and have no intention of getting any, this difference is worth precisely nothing to you and should not sway the decision. For a takeaway with two lads on mopeds on a Friday, it is the whole argument.
Which suits an Irish independent?
Do the sum at your own volume. At €59 plus 5%, Eclyde is cheaper than a flat €139 until you are doing around €1,600 a month in online sales, and our own Flat Rate takes over above roughly €2,800. Under that, the maths favours us, and the pricing page shows the working. Over it, the question becomes which bundle you actually use, and if payroll is in daily use on your side, Flipdish covering it in one invoice has real value. The other honest point: they have years of trading behind them and we do not.

Is Flipdish cheaper than Eclyde?
It depends entirely on your online volume. Flipdish's mid tier at around €139 per month per site is a flat cost, so it gets relatively cheaper the more you sell. Eclyde's Flexible plan at €59 plus 5% is cheaper at low volume, and our Flat Rate at €169 billed annually takes over above roughly €2,800 a month in online sales. Bring your real numbers to a call and we will do the arithmetic in front of you, including when the answer is that they are cheaper.
Can I migrate my Flipdish menu to Eclyde?
Yes. Our onboarding team rebuilds the menu, the modifiers and the pricing from your export and checks the whole thing with you before go-live. Modifier groups and per-size pricing are the parts that need a human eye, so budget an hour to walk through them properly.
Does Eclyde work in Ireland?
Eclyde is built in Dublin and Ireland is our home market, with the UK next. Euro pricing, Stripe-powered payments, VAT set per item and per order type, and a team you can meet in person for onboarding.
Does Eclyde do payroll?
No. Eclyde covers staff scheduling and what each shift costs against what it takes, but payroll itself stays with your existing provider. If having payroll inside the same bundle matters to you, that is a straightforward point in Flipdish's favour.
Which has been around longer?
Flipdish, comfortably. They have been trading for years across Ireland and the UK. Eclyde is early, with no published case studies, because we are not going to invent them. If a long track record is what you are buying, weigh that honestly.
Is there a contract with either?
