Dublin, Ireland
Restaurant technology in Dublin, built here.
Dublin trades unlike anywhere else in the country, and most of the software sold into it was written for somewhere else. Eclyde was written here, by people who have worked the floor.
In short
Eclyde is a restaurant operating system built in Dublin. It covers the till, commission-free online ordering, kitchen display, delivery with your own drivers, staff scheduling and reporting in one platform. Onboarding is done in person by the Dublin team, and there is no contract and no lock-in.

What makes trading in Dublin different?
The week has changed shape and the software has not caught up. Hybrid working thinned out the weekday lunch trade around the docklands and the city centre, and Monday and Friday took the worst of it, so a room off Baggot Street now lives or dies on Tuesday to Thursday. Then a match at Croke Park or the Aviva doubles a Saturday in Drumcondra or Ballsbridge with almost no warning. August empties the city and September brings it back all at once. Eclyde puts that pattern in your own numbers rather than in the trade press, so the rota follows how you actually trade instead of how you traded last year.
How much are the delivery apps costing a Dublin restaurant?
More than most owners have sat down and worked out. Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat all trade heavily here, and commission commonly runs 25 to 30 percent per order when the platform delivers, less if you deliver yourself. Do the sum on a real Friday rather than a good one. The point is not to leave the apps, because they bring you customers you would never have found. The point is to stop paying a quarter of the order on the regular who has been ordering the same thing from you every fortnight for two years.
- Your own ordering page at 0% commission on the Flat Rate plan
- Customer names and order history stay on your side
- App orders still land in the same queue as everything else
- Delivery zones drawn street by street, not as a lazy radius
Does it suit a Camden Street takeaway and a Ranelagh dining room?
They need different halves of the same system. The Camden Street restaurant needs speed at the counter, three apps in one queue and drivers dispatched by half seven. The Ranelagh room needs a floor plan, coursing and a booking that turns up as six rather than four. Eclyde carries both, and you switch on the half you need. A truck at the markets in Stoneybatter is a third case again: a tablet, a card reader and something that keeps working when the signal goes.
Who do you talk to when it goes wrong on a Saturday night?
Somebody in Dublin who has worked a Saturday night. The team is here, onboarding is done in your kitchen rather than posted to you as a video, and we build your menu and train your staff on site before you go live. That is easy to promise and worth checking, so ask us on the call who exactly answers the phone at nine on a Saturday. It is a small company. You will end up knowing their names.
What is it like being an early Eclyde site?
Honest answer: early. We have no published case studies and no customer names to show you, because inventing them would be the easiest thing on this page and the least defensible. What we do have is a product you can see working in a demo against your own menu, in-person setup, no contract, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Early sites get the founding team on the phone and real influence over what gets built next. If you want a supplier with fifteen years behind them, that is a fair thing to want and we are not it yet.

Is Eclyde available across all of Dublin?
Anywhere in the city and county, and across Ireland. Delivery zones are drawn to whatever shape suits your site rather than a fixed radius, which matters in a city where the canal and the river turn a short distance into a long drive at six o'clock.
Do you support Irish payment methods?
Payments run through Stripe, covering card, contactless, Apple Pay and Google Pay at the counter and online, with tips and refunds on the same screen. Cash still works too, and cash up reconciles the drawer, the card takings and each driver's float together.
How does it handle Irish VAT?
You set the treatment per item and per order type, and it applies automatically at the till and online. That flexibility matters here, because the VAT rate on food service has moved more than once in recent years and is argued about every budget. When it changes again, you change a setting rather than rebuild a menu.
Can I meet the team in person?
Yes, and we would rather you did. We are Dublin-based and we do onboarding in your kitchen: menu build, payment setup, staff training, and someone there for your first live service. Ask for a visit when you book the demo.
Which Dublin restaurants are using it?
We do not publish customer names or case studies yet, and we would rather say that plainly than dress up a young platform with vague claims. Ask us directly on a call what the product does and does not do today, and we will tell you straight.
See it run your restaurant.
Twenty minutes on your menu and your numbers. We'll show you what actually changes in the first month and exactly what it costs. If it's not right for your restaurant, we'll tell you that instead.
- Live in days, not months
- We build your menu and train your staff
- No contract, and thirty days to change your mind
