Staff Management

Staff management without the group chat.

The rota, the hours, who's allowed to void an order. It's a day a week of admin and none of it is why you opened a restaurant. Eclyde takes the paperwork off you.

In short

Eclyde Staff Management covers rota building, PIN clock-in, role-based permissions, team chat and per-server performance in one dashboard. It tracks labour cost against takings hour by hour and works across several sites. Time records export in the formats common payroll systems accept; direct payroll integrations aren't live yet.

Building the rota on a Sunday night

Drag people into slots. Copy last week and change the two shifts that moved. Recurring patterns stay put, so the person who's done Tuesday and Thursday for three years doesn't need placing again every week. Everyone gets their shifts on their phone the moment you publish, and swap requests come back to you instead of arriving as a rumour from the kitchen porter.

Who can see what, and who can void an order

Servers see orders and tables. Chefs see the kitchen screen. Managers see the reports. You see everything, including who approved that refund at ten past eleven. Permissions are set per role and per site, and every override leaves a line in the log with a name on it.

  • Roles defined by you, not a fixed list
  • PIN clock-in tied to the shift
  • Manager approval on voids and refunds
  • Activity log for anything sensitive

Getting work chat out of WhatsApp

The group with the rota in it is also the group with the memes and somebody's holiday photos, and the shift swap from Tuesday is now four hundred messages back. Eclyde has channels by site, searchable, work only. People who leave stop having access, which is worth more than it sounds.

Who actually sells

Average order value by server. Who adds a side without being asked and who never has. Who's quick and accurate on a full pass and who slows down the moment it gets busy. It's the same conversation you already have in your head, with numbers on it, which makes a difficult chat considerably shorter.

Labour against takings, by the hour

Not at the end of the month when the wage bill lands. During the shift, by the hour, next to what came through the till in that same hour. You'll spot the Tuesday teatime where four people are on for eleven covers, and you'll see it while you can still do something about next Tuesday.

The payroll gap, stated plainly

Time records come out clean and export in the formats the common payroll packages accept, but there's no direct hook into them yet. Somebody still uploads a file once a fortnight. It's ten minutes rather than an evening of adding up till rolls, and we'd rather say that now than have you find out in week one.

Questions, answered straight.

Not covered here? Just ask us.

Can staff clock in from their phones?

Yes, with a PIN, and geofencing checks they're at the site rather than at the bus stop. Hours flow straight into the payroll report, so the hours you pay are the hours the till recorded. If you'd rather people clocked in on a fixed tablet by the back door, that works too, and some owners prefer it for exactly the reason you're thinking.

Does it integrate with payroll software?

Not directly, not yet. Eclyde exports time records in formats the common payroll systems import, so it's an export and an upload rather than an automatic hand-off. Direct integrations are on the roadmap and we'll not pretend they're here before they are.

Can I manage multiple locations?

Yes. Staff belong to one site or float across several, and someone covering a shift across town keeps their own PIN and permissions. Rotas, hours and labour percentages roll up to a group view or break down per site, so you can see that one room is running hot on labour while another is short.

Can staff see each other's hours or pay?

No. A member of staff sees their own shifts, their own clocked hours and the channels they are in, and nothing about anybody else. Pay rates sit behind manager permission entirely. It is the first thing worth checking when you set roles up, because the fastest way to lose a good kitchen is for one person to find out what another is on.

What if I change the rota after publishing it?

Change it and the affected people get the update on their phone, with the old shift and the new one, so nobody turns up for a shift that moved on Wednesday. The changes stay in the log too, which settles the argument about whether somebody was told, usually in about four seconds.

See it run your restaurant.

Twenty minutes on your menu and your numbers. We'll show you what actually changes in the first month and exactly what it costs. If it's not right for your restaurant, we'll tell you that instead.

  • Live in days, not months
  • We build your menu and train your staff
  • No contract, and thirty days to change your mind
